6. Satan’s Triangle (1975)

Satan’s Triangle, as its title suggests, features a mystery involving the Devil himself and his evil desires. It follows the story of a rescue operative who embarks a stranded ship only to find its passengers are all dead—except for one sole survivor.

The pacing of the story is quite slow, but if you can stick with it, you’ll experience a great slow-burning mystery in classic filmmaking style.

From the floating corpse to the sudden disappearance of a crew in the middle of the storm, everything has a logical explanation up until the movie’s ending.

5. Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018)

TheHotel Transylvaniaanimated film series features all kinds of monsters and creatures who visit Count Dracula’s Hotel Transylvania to get away from human civilization.

In the 2018 filmHotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, the Bermuda Triangle is featured as the meet-up point where the monsters board the cruise ship Legacy for their planned vacation.

In this film, the Bermuda Triangle is depicted as a literal triangle-shaped hole in the middle of the ocean, with numerous ships piled up within it. (Can you tell this one’s a comedy, not a horror?)

He travels to Bermuda and rents a ship to take him to the Triangle. Unfortunately, a storm washes him onto the shores of a mysterious island called Liliput.

There, he becomes a hero to the small people and lives a dream life in the kingdom while influencing the people with things he knows.

3. Triangle (2009)

A time loop is an interesting element for horror and thriller movies, as there’s all sorts of problems that can arise.

This was done really well in psychological horror filmTriangle, in which one woman ends up in an accident on the open seas. When she’s saved by a passing ocean liner, the Aeolus, she eventually discovers that she’s stuck in a time loop of sorts.

She and her friends were supposed to be having the time of their lives at sea, but instead they’re trapped by the horrors and mysteries that wait for them in the Aeolus.

Though it’s not directly stated to take place in the Bermuda Triangle, we see that the group sets sail from Florida into seas known to be part of said Triangle. Plus, there’s the movie name.

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)

In the 2017 film installmentDead Men Tell No Tales, Armando Salazar (the antagonist of the film) and gang are led to their demise by the young Jack Sparrow in the Devil’s Triangle.

But instead of dying, they’re cursed to wander as ghosts trapped inside the Triangle, only to be set free after the present-day Jack gets the magical compass off his hand in exchange for a drink.

1. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013)

Of the many films that depict the Bermuda Triangle as a home for monsters that cause ships and planes to disappear,Percy Jackson: Sea of Monstersdid it best with its CGI effects.

In the film, the Bermuda Triangle is known by the gods and demigods as the Sea of Monsters and is home to the Charybdis, a mythological sea creature from Greek mythology.

The scene where the mouth of the Charybdis emerges from the surface and swallows Percy’s boat is insanely cool to this day.
